A lyrical snapshot of a plausibly fictional romance (and its subsequent end), "High By The Beach" holds nothing back, avoiding coyness in favor of brash lines nestled between synth like "Don't need your money, money / To get me what I want / Lights camera action / I'll do it on my own." A definite anthem against co-dependence and lesser than significant others, this New York native's forthcoming release, which is due out in September, will undboutedly double her already massive following.
