  • Shakira, Rihanna collaboration 'Can't Remember To Forget You' release date next week, according to Twitter

That rumored Shakira/Rihanna collaboration is, in fact, happening. And, according to Twitter the track "Can't Remember To Forget" is coming quite soon.
  • Rihanna working with DJ Mustard in studio for 'Unapologetic' follow-up

It's been almost 14 months since Rihanna released her seventh studio album "Unapologetic," which is the longest amount of time the prolific pop star has gone without releasing new material. So as logic would dictate, it seems like the "What Now" singer is back in the studio to work on her eighth LP, and according to a new interview, she's collaborating with none other than club hit maker DJ Mustard.

  • Pitbull, Ke$ha, Eminem and Rihanna end year atop Billboard Digital Downloads chart

Music Times warned you that the final Digital Downloads' chart of the year would be chalk full of sales thanks to people cashing in on the iTunes/download cards they received for Christmas. And sure enough, it was a huge week. Every song in the Top 50 saw a sales increase, and 46 of those tracks saw rises of more than 100 percent (aka doubling in sales since last week).
  • Bruno Mars and Rihanna top 'most pirated' performers of 2013 list

Looking at a performer's sales is one way to judge who's the biggest name in music. Another way is to check out who's been illegally downloaded the most. Data analysts Musicmetric have looked into the latter and concluded that Bruno Mars and Rihanna are the most tormented performers in the world. Where that places them among the most popular is up to you.
  • A Great Big World and Christina Aguilera top Digital Downloads charts for second week

The end of the year didn't bring any new albums to the Billboard 200 Top 10 this week, and the Top 10 of the Digital Downloads charts didn't bring too many fresh faces either.

  • Madonna is the top earning woman in music with Lady Gaga, Taylor Swift and Beyoncé in the top three.

And the top-earning woman in music is .... Madonna. According to Forbes' 2013 list, the singer pulled in $125 million this year. The bulk of her payday came from the final leg of her MDNA Tour, which grossed $305 million overall. According to Rolling Stone, she supplemented her income with merchandise sales, her Material Girl clothing line and her "Truth or Dare" fragrance.
  • Pitbull and Ke$ha beat Eminem and Rihanna for Digital Downloads in slow sales week

For some odd reason, Christmas singles don't sell. Although the Billboard 200 was full of suddenly-popular CD's containing boatloads of "chestnuts," the Digital Downloads Top 10 didn't reflect the same. Which isn't to say that popular music downloads did particularly well either.
