Even self-proclaimed geniuses can be knocked completely down by a really bad migraine. Kanye West is in Australia this week to play some dates for his Yeezus tour when he was leveled by excruciating pain in his head. MTV reports that West was transferred to a Melbourne area hospital for precautionary measures but was later released after an MRI proved that nothing serious was the cause of the debilitating pain.
Naturally, since we are talking about Kanye West, the whole scene at Epworth Hospital turned into security madness with part of the ER being cleared out so that the rappers' privacy was protected. After having tests run being thoroughly examined the rapper was released from the hospital and managed to pull himself together fairly quickly.
Live Nation later confirmed that West did indeed take the stage in Melbourne, Australia last night to perform for a huge crowd.
Since 'Ye is able to put mind over matter he is also expected to play 2 gigs at Sydney's Allphones Arena before finally wrapping up his Australian leg of the Yeezus tour in Brisbane on Monday night. No word on whether or not Kim Kardashian accompanied her husband to the hospital. We do know that she was with him shopping in Australia a few days ago because they were photographed together.
We have to wonder what was more difficult for West: performing in excruciating pain or having to admit that he needed medical attention.
Kanye West loves to appear bullet proof and like he is never impacted by outside (or internal) forces. Eventually something will change his perspective on things and humble him just a little.
