• President Obama Thanks Chicago's Chosen Few DJs for 25th Anniversary

    President Obama may have to keep a clean image for political reasons, but stowed away somewhere in the White House, the POTUS has his dancing shoes ready to go. Obama grew up in Chicago right during the early days of Chicago house when names like Frankie Knuckles, Derrick Carter and Marshall Jefferson made a name for themselves. He has kept that love alive during his political career and the President on July 4 recorded a message for the 25 anniversary of the Chosen Few DJs picnic, which takes place each year back in Chicago.

    Last month, St. Vincent announced that she was taking suggestions to create a mixtape for one lucky 11-year-old fan. That selection of tracks was then put together and aired during her first session on Apple Music's Beats 1 - its Zane Lowe-led 24-hour radio station. She airs every Tuesday night at 10 p.m. EST and Vincent has shared the tracks, which were in her latest episode of Mixtape Delivery Service.

For the 12th nonconsecutive week, the Furious 7 soundtrack single has topped the charts - but new singles from OMI, Jack Ü with Justin Bieber and Rachel Platten are coming up quickly as summer gets hotter.

  • Mariah Carey, Madonna and TLC: The Longest Hot 100 Streaks of 1995

    TLC celebrated the beginning of its longest streak on the Hot 100 on this date 20 years ago, as "Waterfalls" topped the singles charts for seven weeks afterward. Now, the Hot 100 is different than the Billboard 200 in that it's rare for any one album to top the chart for more than a few weeks, while songs can rack up huge runs on their chart. For example, only two albums have been at no. 1 for more than one week during 2015 (Taylor Swift's 1989 and Kendrick Lamar's To Pimp A Butterfly), while Mark Ronson's "Uptown Funk" has ruled the Hot 100 for 14 weeks thus far (the other 14 weeks have been split between Swift and Wiz Khalifa). Five songs managed to stay at no. 1 for seven weeks or more during 1995...so at least 35 of the year's 52 weeks were owned by just five songs. Check out the playlist of '95's most popular tracks.

    Electro icons New Order recently announced plans for a UK tour in addition to revealing additional details about their forthcoming full-length. Known for crafting essential dance anthems and new wave favorites like "Blue Monday," "Age of Consent" and "Enjoy The Silence," New Order became a classic of the '80s. After what has for fans undoubtedly felt like a decade, the band's 10th album is set to drop September 25 and now a tour is set to follow.

  • 'Orange Is The Black's Ruby Rose Signs To Avicii, Alesso's Agency

    'Orange Is The New Black' star Ruby Rose (Stella Carlin in the show for those who don't watch) was just signed to European booking agency, Connected Artists. She will join a roster that includes the likes of Alesso, Axwell, Sebastian Ingrosso, Avicii and others.
