Gwyneth Paltrow Claims That Brad Pitt Was 'Too Good' for Her
While Gwyneth Paltrow still has her share of haters — mainly because she seems so out of touch with how most people in the real world live — she does seem to have softened a bit in the months since announcing her split from Chris Martin. Rather than being focused on material things and coming across as typically arrogant, Paltrow's interviews have had a different tone. She did a guest spot on Howard Stern's show today and was more than willing to discuss some of her high-profile relationships from when she was younger. When asked about her romance with Ben Affleck from more than 15 years ago, Paltrow said they were off and on because he really was not ready to have a girlfriend then. Of course, Brad Pitt also came up, and when asked about their split in 1997, Paltrow actually took the blame."I definitely fell in love with him. He was so gorgeous and sweet. I mean, he was Brad Pitt! I was such a kid, I was 22 when we met. It's taken me until 40 to get my head out of my ass. You can't make that decision when you're 22 years old ... I wasn't ready, and he was too good for me. I didn't know what I was doing. I think that when you're in your 20s, you can get swept up in [good looks]. When you're a kid, you tend to be more shallow and you're also immature, so you think that being with a good looking person validates yourself in some kind of way. It's not true," explained the actress. -

Survivor's Issue of 'Charlie Hebdo' Sells Out as France Arrests 54 in Wide-Sweeping Roundup
Renald Luzier, the cartoonist who drew the cover of the Survivor's Issue of "Charlie Hebdo" is an incredibly lucky man. Had he not overslept last week, he would have attended that ill-fated editorial meeting that was ambushed by two gunmen in Paris. As one of the surviving members of the staff, he stressed the importance of designing the kind of cover that the terrorists did not want them to create. As "Charlie Hebdo" has managed to continue on, French police and investigators have now made 54 arrests across the country in connection with the most devastating attack on French soil in 50 years.French prosecutors have been ordered to crack down on anyone spewing hateful speech, anti-Semitic tones and those who are blatantly glorifying terrorism. Twenty people died, including the three gunmen, in last week's horrific wave of violence, and the French government believes it is necessary to take a pro-active approach now. Obviously, something was overlooked before because all three militants were supposedly known to the French and U.S. governments butt no one realized what was being planned. There is a chance that they were part of a sleeper cell that was lying dormant with an already-established plan for three years. Once they were activated, they would have already known what to do. By making arrests now the French are likely hoping to clip the wings of people who could be a significant problem later. The French people have remained united throughout everything and many countries across the globe have joined in supporting them. The newest issue of "Charlie Hebdo" sold out in minutes this morning, Jan. 14. -

6 Hip-Hop Performers Whose Second Album Is Best: Beastie Boys, Ice Cube, A Tribe Called Quest and More
Rumors are swirling around the GOP that Mitt Romney might seek the Presidency once again during the 2016 election, granted he can secure the Republican nomination. It's rare to see failed candidates attempt to run again-we haven't had a second-run candidate win since Richard Nixon in 1968-but that doesn't mean he can't do better this time around. To highlight this potential we at Music Times have selected six performers from Romney's favorite genre, hip-hop (EDITOR'S NOTE: we have since realized that the comment from Editor in Chief Emily "Witty" Wittman was in fact a joke. However we've already done all the research so we're running with it), who released their best album during their second try. -
ABC May Kill Off Hostility-Plagued 'The View' in Favor of Adding Another Hour to 'GMA'
"The View's" first season without veteran reporter Barbara Walters may end up being its last on the air if something does not radically change — fast. Pairing Whoopi Goldberg with Rosie O'Donnell has once again proven to be a fiasco onscreen that turns viscous backstage. Nicolle Wallace and Rosie Perez seem unable to handle the stress and infighting caused by the other two and the ratings are in the toilet. At first ABC was looking ahead to next season and trying to figure out who it could bring in to help turn the show around, but now it is instead contemplating putting "The View" out of its misery after Season 18 ends. According to a report by "The Daily Mail," ABC may instead opt to replace the show with an extended hour of "Good Morning America," which already gets great ratings."The brass at ABC feels like they've tried to do everything possible to breathe new life into this show and are debating about replacing it with an additional hour of the well-rated 'Good Morning America.' ABC feels it's exhausted their options with 'The View' and now it's time to expand the existing franchise, 'GMA.' They feel that since 'GMA' is already beating NBC's 'Today' during the first two hours of the broadcast, why not extend the morning broadcast?" says a source close to the network. -

Taylor Swift and '1989' no. 1 for Ninth Time on Billboard 200; Rae Sremmurd Debuts at No. 5 with 'SremmLife,' Only New Album in Top 30
Bet you can't guess what performer finished on top of the Billboard 200 this week! Taylor Swift and 1989? Okay, maybe it wasn't that hard to figure out. Although the album saw a big drop in terms of equivalent album sales (down to 155,000, the first time at less than 200,000 for the set), it still managed to take its ninth week at no. 1 since debuting 11 weeks ago. Ed Sheeran and Nicki Minaj still factor high. -
'RHONJ' Teresa Giudice Didn't Have a Family Visit Yet Because She Is Going Through Drug Detox
When Teresa Giudice turned herself in to begin serving her 15-month sentence at Danbury Federal Correctional Institute, the focus was initially on the family that she was leaving behind. "The Real Housewives of New Jersey's" husband Joe Giudice is now in charge of taking care of their four daughters, something he has never done before, and the media began speculating on Teresa's life without hair extensions and a new chore list. As it turns out, an even bigger problem is plaguing the reality star: an addiction to prescription pills.According to a report by Radar Online, Teresa has been using Xanax and Valium for the last five years, and she has also dabbled with human growth hormones to put muscle on her lean frame. That means she is now experiencing some major detox behind bars. According to the source, Teresa could be afflicted with symptoms for as long as two weeks as everything leaves her body."Teresa would get things through her friend whose husband is a doctor and two other doctors. It's going to be a [major] detox. I warned her about that. It's going to be hell. It's a cold withdrawal. You just detox. It's a really brutal withdrawal. She'll get sick. She will get diarrhea. She'll have actual DTs [delirium tremens, aka 'the shakes']," said the source.
