Kourtney Kardashian Named New Son Herself Since Scott Disick Hasn't Been a Very Good Father Lately
When Kourtney Kardashian first divulged her new son's name to the world yesterday, Dec. 21, it was met with mixed reviews. Some fans seem to think that "Reign Aston Disick" is even worse than "North West," while others love the fact that she chose a unique moniker for her new baby. Perhaps no one was more shocked by his name than baby daddy Scott Disick. Apparently the couple had been contemplating honoring both of their fathers in their name choice, but in the end Kardashian nixed that completely.According to a source for Hollywood Life, Disick has not exactly been acting like a real father for the majority of Kardashian's pregnancy, and he likely enraged her by bouncing out to attend a lingerie party just a few days after his son's birth."They both fought over the name, and Scott really wanted to stick to honoring their fathers, but Kourtney got more adamant that it be unique. She also is very upset with Scott and felt that he shouldn't have final say over the name since he is not doing his part as a father. Kourtney wanted to make the name decision to really hit home with Scott and see if it makes him want to finally change and get his act together," said the source. -

Rosie O'Donnell Threatened to Quit 'The View' After Last Week's On-Air Blowout with Whoopi Goldberg
Last Thursday, Dec. 18, Rosie O'Donnell and Whoopi Goldberg had their worst clash so far on "The View." What began as a discussion about how racism is actively affecting everyday life in the U.S. turned into a shouting match with Goldberg insisting that O'Donnell had no idea what true racism really is. Of course her statements were met with complete disagreement, and it was downhill from there. Apparently things were even worse behind the scenes, and once O'Donnell heard the conversation going on off-camera, she threatened to walk.According to a report by Radar Online, O'Donnell heard the staff discussing doing a split-screen between her and Goldberg and flipped:"Rosie heard several staffers talking about using a split screen if the fighting continued when taping resumed. Rosie went absolutely ballistic, pointing out that was the reason she had quit the first time. Racism is a very serious subject, and Rosie felt that the staff of the show was trying to exploit it for ratings. Whoopi and Rosie aren't even pretending to like each other on the air. It won't be the last time they spar. Needless to say, the crew is looking forward to the Christmas break. Both of them are acting extremely immature." -

Adam Lambert or Freddie Mercury? Queen's Brian May Says 'American Idol' Alum Has Better Range
You know those people who say they were "born in the wrong era" and wish they could have been a teenager in the 1960s or '70s? That is basically Adam Lambert, who rose to pop fame with "American Idol" at the turn of the decade. He was as close to late Queen singer Freddie Mercury as a new star could get, but he could not nail down a perfect fit in the music world.Until Queen came calling in 2011, that is. Then the pieces fell into place immediately. One of the world's most storied rock bands got a third wind — after a forgettable era with Paul Rodgers — and Lambert got his chance to eschew pop for the coolest cover gig ever. Now — get this — Brian May is throwing out some serious compliments."They're difficult songs to sing, Queen songs," he told Japan's Universal Music, via "Billboard." "There's too much range. So many people can't sing them in the original key — even if they are good singers, Adam comes along, [and] he can do it easy. He can do it in his sleep! He can sing higher than even Freddie could in a live situation. So I think Freddie would look at this guy and think, 'Hmm ... Yeah. OK.' There would be a kind of, 'Hmm ... You bastard. You can do this.'" -

Brandon Flowers on The Killers: Says Band Suffers from a 'Lack of Drive' and Next Album Will Be 'Different'
Brandon Flowers of The Killers knows why his band is not more successful. In a recent chat with "NME," he said The Killers suffer from a "lack of drive." That is some harsh criticism considering they have two platinum albums under their belt with "Hot Fuzz" and "Sam's Town," as well as strong releases with "Day & Age" and "Battle Born." Flowers cites U2 as a band who was more in tune with their time and generation."There's definitely a drive that we're lacking," Flowers said. "It takes a lot of work and that's fine, everybody's different, everybody's gonna have their own road that they go down. Other than Coldplay I'm not sure anybody's made the dent that U2 were able to make. They were so much a part of the landscape and the timing of when they were coming out."That is a tough comparison. U2's first album came out in 1980 during an era that relied heavily on albums. "Hot Fuzz" was released in 2004 in the midst of a still-changing landscape. -

Hence the forthcoming single "Yume no Ukiyo ni Saitemina," featuring idol act Momoiro Clover Z, which will be available for download on January 28. Whose idea it actually was isn't clear but the song is apparently written by KISS frontman Paul Stanley.
