Fans are chomping at the bit for Kendrick Lamar's sophomore album to be released. Earlier this week, a rumored tracklist for the record was confirmed as fake by TDE CEO Anthony "Top Dawg" Tiffith. Although no new details or music have surfaced, you can get your fill of K. Dot today through one of his other projects. Lamar teamed up with Reebok to debut their new Ventilator OG sneaker, which commemorates the 25th anniversary of their Ventilator line. As part of the partnership, Lamar is featured in a short film directed by Anthony Mandler (Jay Z, Rihanna) called "Kendrick - I am." -
Smashing Pumpkins's Next Album May Be Their Last: Billy Corgan Is 'Over Rock 'N' Roll'
Billy Corgan might think that The Smashing Pumpkins are a better band than Pearl Jam and Foo Fighters — and he is right, by the way — but the Pumpkins might not even be around much longer. According to a recent interview with "The Wall Street Journal," Corgan hinted that the next Smashing Pumpkins album, "Day for Night," could well be the last."The next album is like the end, end, end," Corgan says when discussing his "psychic impression of the future" in terms of new Pumpkins albums. "The trite way to say it is I'm over rock 'n' roll. Which is strange because rock 'n' roll is getting back into me."If Corgan were to end the Smashing Pumpkins after the next album, it would not be the first time the band — "project" is a more appropriate word at this point — has fallen apart. The Pumpkins initially split in 2000, but reunited in 2006, though guitarist James Iha and bassist D'arcy Wretzky chose not to participate. Corgan is currently the sole original member of the band and the only official member at the moment other than rhythm guitarist Jeff Schroeder. -

The Ebola Fighters Are 'Time' Magazine's 'Person of the Year'
Just yesterday we were wondering if "Time" magazine would make sense out of its unusual short list of contenders for its 2014 Person of the Year, and thankfully its end game is rooted in logic. For a second there it looked like Vladimir Putin, with his ill-prepared Sochi Olympic Games and war with Ukraine actually had a chance at the title. Thankfully, "Time" announced this morning that the Ebola fighters have been named the 2014 Person of the Year.Since late August, the U.S. has panicked as some of our own stricken caregivers, such as Nancy Writebol and Dr. Kent Brantly in Liberia, have been transported back home to the States, where their hopes of survival are better. Nurses like Nina Pham and Amber Vinson were not properly trained to care for Ebola patients and ended up with the illness themselves. Adding insult to injury, the CDC went so far as to try to blame them for getting sick. The irony is that each caregiver has thought nothing of going back to work after their own recovery. When asked if they would care for another Ebola patient, the response has immediately been yes. -
Cam'ron Emojis Are Here: U Mad?
It is not enough to just be a regular person who exists in real life. The next step to be as ubiquitous as possible and permeate as many facets of life is to become an emoji. Lil B has his own app where you can send the most basic messages possible, including multiple ways to ask your friends and acquaintances for money. Now Cam'ron has been blessed with his own collection of emojis, including the iconic "U Mad" moment. Cam'ron has already become a popular meme with this moment trolling Bill O'Reilly, so the next logical step was to become an emoji and expand on his repertoire, via "Pitchfork."You can download all 20 emojis through the Hi-Art iOS and Android apps, though you will need to update to iOS 8 for Apple users, which the author is holding out on doing with his 4S. Earlier this year, Hi-Art released Ghostface Killa emojis, with some popular selections including "C.R.E.A.M." spelled out in dollar bills. Nothing says I love you like a Cam'ron emoji wearing a surgical mask. -

Taylor Swift and '1989' Still on Top; Pentatonix Still Challenging, AC/DC Debuts New Album 'Rock Or Bust'
Taylor Swift keeps on trucking following the Thanksgiving sales binge, keeping her no. 1 spot for 1989 for a fourth week with 244,000 equivalent sales. All told, Swift has been atop the Billboard 200 for 29 total weeks through her career. The only women ahead of her are Mariah Carey wit h30 weeks and Whitney Houston with 46, and it seems Swift could catch the former act next week if 1989 keeps its sales up. -
Jennifer Aniston Has Been Nominated for a SAG Award for Her Role in 'Cake'
It looks like all that buzz surrounding Jennifer Aniston's performance in "Cake" is not for nothing because this morning the actress found herself on the short list of Outstanding Lead Actress contenders for the SAG Awards. It is a huge deal for Aniston just to be nominated after years of floundering in the rom-com zone. Now her name is being spoken among the likes of Julianne Moore, Reese Witherspoon, Rosamund Pike and Felicity Jones, all fellow SAG nominees this year. This time around Aniston embraced a totally different kind of character and tackled the role of chronic pain sufferer Claire Bennett with a real openness that has won her rave reviews since "Cake" first previewed in early September. In fact, it was the overwhelmingly positive response to it that prompted producers to rush to get it out this year, making it eligible for this current awards cycle rather than risking it getting lost at the beginning of next year's films. No one is likely more surprised by this nomination than Aniston herself. In recent weeks she has gotten a bit giddy just thinking about the fact that people were mentioning that "Cake" could be award-worthy. The actual nomination probably means almost as much as taking home the trophy would for the woman who, at least up until now, has been best known for her role as Rachel Green on "Friends." -

Death Grips Share Weird 'Inanimate Sensation' Music Video from Upcoming Album 'Jenny Death'
Even though experimental hip-hop group Death Grips broke up in July, they still have yet to release "Jenny Death," the second half of their double album "The Powers That B." Today, Dec. 10, however, they have shared the first track from Jenny Death, titled "Inanimate Sensation," along with its unusual music video, which you can check out below. The entire video is bizarrely shown through a crashed jumbotron lying in the middle of an empty basketball stadium and features images of Death Grips frontman MC Ride — occasionally wearing huge googly eyes — rapping the song intercut with psychedelic, computer-generated visuals. As for the song itself, "Inanimate Sensation" is a sprawling six-minute track with typically abrasive and unsettling electronic production and should satisfy Death Grips fans while simultaneously horrifying everybody else. You can check out the music video for Death Grips's "Inanimate Sensation" here: -
Highest Paid Musicians 2014: Dr. Dre Tops The List (Duh) but Beyoncé, One Direction and Justin Bieber Make Bank as Well
Hip-hop might be the genre that puts the most emphasis on dollars earned but we'd be kidding ourselves if big acts from every scene had their eyes on their wallets. And so do we as fans...just Google an act and see "net worth" doesn't come up as a popular search term. Forbes released its annual list of the Top 30 highest earning musicians from the previous year and you probably guessed who took the top spot: Dr. Dre.
