    Rihanna, Eminem, and Bruce Springsteen are among the headlining acts for HBO's "Concert of Valor" in Washington, D.C., which is set to air live at 7 p.m. EST on Veteran's Day, Nov. 11. The concert's other headliners include Carrie Underwood, Dave Grohl (but not Foo Fighters?), Metallica, and the Zac Brown Band.

    The Chateau St. Jean winery has announced that they, along with their partner, 9-time Grammy Award winner artist, Sheryl Crow, will be supporting Breast Cancer Awareness Month by donating $1 for every bottle of wine sold (up to $100,000 total) through October 31, 2014 to breast cancer charities.

  • Interpol Guitarist Daniel Kessler Forms Experimental Duo Big Noble, Debut Album Out Next Year [WATCH]

    Pitchfork reports that Interpol guitarist Daniel Kessler has started a side project called Big Noble, which is a collaboration with sound designer Joseph Frailoli. The duo’s debut album is expected sometime in early 2015, but their music can already be heard at a New York sound installation called “Sounds of NYC,” which is running until Oct. 5 at Sonos Studios. Based on the ads created for the installation, their music seems largely instrumental and ambient, as opposed to Interpol’s guitar-driven post-punk.

    Remember when bidding to host an Olympic Games was considered to be such a huge deal and several countries would wait to hear if they made the final cut before a host country was finally selected? There would be buzz years in advance about what countries might bid and excited speculation on whether or not the U.S. would throw its hat into the proverbial ring. That is how it used to be, but fast forward to the Winter Games for 2022, and instead of countries fighting for the honor, they are withdrawing their bids. Only Beijing and Almaty, Kazakhstan, are interested are interested despite many who think the International Olympic Committee is corrupt.

    It looks like Teresa and Joe Giudice of The Real Housewives of New Jersey fame really played the system for everything that they could get out of it right up to the very end. The couple found themselves in a Newark court this morning in front of U.S. District Court Judge Ester Salas for a sentencing phase that dragged on for the entire work day. Salas made it clear from the start that she was none too happy with the Bravolebrities as she first sentenced Joe to 41 months in federal prison and two years of supervised release. Teresa has been sentenced to 15 months in prison on federal fraud charges and is actually expected to serve her sentence first because Joe will likely be deported immediately after serving his sentence. By Teresa going to jail first it means that the couple's four children will have a parent to raise them at home.
