  • Oscars 2015: The Lonely Island & Tegan and Sara Slay with Energetic 'Everything Is Awesome' Performance from 'The LEGO Movie' [WATCH]

    "Everything Is Awesome," indeed. In an Oscars night filled with glamour and length acceptance speeches, The Lonely Island and Tegan and Sara were on hand to shake things up with stuffed animals, LEGO Oscar statues and even a cameo from Batman Will Arnett with its Best Original Song nominated track from The LEGO Movie.

    Though the Oscars may be all about movies, the best films of the year would almost be nothing if not for their music. So, on Hollywood's biggest nights, some of music's biggest stars were on hand to perform the tracks nominated for Best Original Song. To kick off the night's performance lineup, Maroon 5 featuring Adam Levine were on hand to perform the Begin Again standout single "Lost Stars."

    "Phenomenal singers are going home today," Jennifer Lopez said to open tonight's, Feb. 19, final American Idol judgement episode to decide the Top 24. She wasn't kidding either. The group of 23 remaining contestants was cut in half to round out next week's crew of live performers. Harry Connick Jr., Keith Urban and J. Lo have been shelling out some solid advice, but for some it was "better luck next time."

As he walked onto the stage, the house band played the instrumentals for the song. Instead of sitting down next to Letterman's desk, he made his way over to the band to pick up a mic and rap along. He even included the audience for the "na na na" parts.

    The final judgment is here. After a stressful and sleepless Hollywood round last week on American Idol, 48 contestants performed at The House of Blues in front of a live audience. The judgment came later, and it was the most nerve-racking encounter with the judges yet.

Last night (Feb. 17) before a concert at Brooklyn's Barclays Center with 50 Cent and G-Unit, the pair teamed up for an energetic performance of "Ayo" on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.

    NBC missed the best part of the "SNL 40" reunion show last night, Feb. 15: the after-party. Things were only heating up when the 3 1/2-hour comedy event wrapped up. Former cast members like Jimmy Fallon and some of music's finest gathered for an after-party at the Plaza Hotel to celebrate a little longer. Taylor Swift, Paul McCartney -- who were both a part of the "SNL 40" show -- and Prince performed, much to the delight of everyone in the building. The festivities died down around 4 a.m., "Consequence of Sound" reported.

    Of course, no Saturday Night Live tribute episode would be complete without a bit of music from The Lonely Island. Last night during the SNL 40 special, Miley Cyrus and Kanye West weren't the only ones on hand with a bit of music - Andy Samberg and Adam Sandler got their due too, with a new digital short that focused on everyone's favorite SNL trope - the break.

    In a star-studded SNL 40, with appearances made by everyone from Taylor Swift to Paul Simon and Paul McCartney, it seemed like a bit of a surprise that the three-and-a-half hour telecast would dedicate a full segment to a Miley Cyrus cover of "50 Ways to Leave Your Lover." But, surprisingly, the Bangerz singer killed it.

    Best buddies Jimmy Fallon and Justin Timberlake had the honor of performing the cold opening for "SNL 40" last night, Feb. 16, and they did not disappoint. The pair combined forces to run through a four-minute rap that spanned all 40 years of "Saturday Night Live," name-dropping former cast members and unleashing some of the reunion show's most iconic catchphrases. At the end, Timberlake and Fallon introduced the special with a "Live from New York, it's Saturday night!"
