    Taylor Swift made headlines during the end of 2014 by pulling her catalogue from Spotify, preventing listeners from checking out her sick beats without shelling out for the song or album 1989. She's not the only one who's keeping their wares off of the streaming service and others like it...The Beatles and Apple Records have yet to release the band's discography to the service. Yet many fans know a loophole, if they're willing to ignore subtle differences in quality: There are covers of the songs on Spotify, performed by bands aiming to sound exactly like The Beatles. Perhaps not for long however, as the U.S. Copyright Office is looking to allow performers to prevent covers of their work from being streamed as well.

It is headlined by an eclectic group of DJs like Flume, Odesza, RL Grime, SBTRKT, John Digweed, Tycho and Griz.

    Yesterday, Feb. 4, was Signing Day for high school athletes ready to commit to their future collegiate alma maters. It was a big day for Snoop Dogg and an even bigger day for his son Cordell Broadus. The 6-foot-2 wide receiver chose UCLA as the college he will be attending to play football for in the fall. Fans of the rapper were able to watch Broadus's achievements on the field recently on "Snoop & Son: A Dad's Dream," an ESPN reality series. Broadus had narrowed down his choices to UCLA and USC, the latter being his father's favorite team. The young player chose the Bruins.

    Ever since Craig Ferguson left the "Late Late Show" on CBS, the network has had a patchwork of different hosts that have included actors, comedians and musicians like Wayne Brady, Sean Hayes, Thomas Lennon and now John Mayer. Mayer hosted the episode last night, Feb. 4, and after a monologue, kicked off the show with the two Katy Perry Super Bowl halftime show sharks on the program. Unfortunately, they were not able to speak for themselves because they are sharks, but an interpreter and agent was there to spray them down with a small spray bottle and express what they were thinking in human tongue. He interviewed Left Shark and Andy Cohen.

    In an innovative move, Madonna has announced that the first music video from "Rebel Heart" will be released through the new Discover feature on Snapchat's Snap Channel. Fans will be able to go on the app starting today, Feb. 5, and view the new video for "Living for Love." As of the writing of this post, the video was not uploaded to the app.
