  • Lady Gaga's 'ARTPOP' sells 250,000 copies, loses Interscope $25 million

News has already broken that Lady Gaga's ARTPOP will debut at no. 1 in the U.K. charts, and there's a solid chance it will do the same in the United States. That doesn't mean that the album can be considered a success however. Estimates, which will become officials first week totals on Wednesday, suggest that ARTPOP will sell around 250,000 copies and lose Interscope Records a lot of money in the process.
  • Katy Perry, Jennifer Lopez, TLC to join Lady Gaga, Justin Timberlake and more as performers at 2013 American Music Awards

The American Music Awards are pulling out all the stops for their 2013 ceremony. Today (Nov. 13), the annual event announced three more big name performers. Katy Perry, Jennifer Lopez and a recently reunited TLC will all perform at the Nov. 24 ceremony in Los Angeles.
  • A Great Big World surprises Digital Downloads chart with 'Say Something,' but Lorde and Eminem waiting in the wings

Eminem was in charge of the Digital Downloads charts last week, placing three different songs in the Top 10. But that doesn't mean that Lorde's recovered the top spot yet. Read on to find out who's making waves.

Of course, there were trophies, too, with awards given out for broad categories like Best Female, Best Hip-Hop and Best Video.
  • Michael Jackson's 'Thriller' re-enters Billboard Hot 100 following Halloween

The Billboard Hot 100 got a retro shake up this week. Likely due to the absolute spookiest day of the year that is Halloween, Michael Jackson's "Thriller," which is now heavily tied in with the holiday, reentered into the charts at No. 42 this week.
  • Katy Perry and 'Prism' one of only albums to sell last week; Pearl Jam, Drake and Miley Cyrus hang around on Top 10

The bad news for the music industry: This week was a weak one for album sales, totaling around 4.54 million total records sold, the lowest weekly total since Nielsen began compiling the stats in 1991. Considering that Lady Gaga sold more than a million by herself when 'Born This Way' debuted in 2011, we're sure the music biz can't wait for 'ARTPOP' to drop next week. For now, here's the results from last week's sales.
